Over the weekend we worked on homemade lighting and crafts that were kid friendly. The first project I posted was the Kirigami Blossoming Luminaria a lamp made from Kirigami and Origami techniques.

Keeping with the theme of what can be done with paper we came up with the Firework Luminary. A candle holder made from cardstock and things we would have thrown in the trash. The craft kept each of the kids entertained and the result?

Fun new candle holders ready for a summer party. To follow along with this project you will need three 4.5×6.5 sheets of colorful cardstock, a 20oz coke bottle, scissors and a glue gun.

As the week goes on we will have more creative, homemade lighting projects for you to enjoy. If you try one of these projects I’d love to see your results! Have a happy, light filled Wordless Wednesday everyone :)
