How To Fix A Leaking Camper Roof

The best time to fix a leaking camper roof is before it starts leaking. Now you might be asking why I would advise fixing something that isn’t broke? Because– a very small amount of rain will destroy the ceiling in your camper in minutes. If your camper’s got some age on it, the best thing to do is protect your investment. Seal the roof before it starts to leak by following these steps:

Clean the roof, by sweeping away dirt buildup and power washing with a detergent.

Remove old caulking at the roof seams and joints. Reapply a marine caulk for the best seal.

Remove exterior, mounted AC and antennas and apply a coat of EPDM compound.

Mop on a coat of Liquid Roof, or similar EPDM compound. Let the coating dry for 24 hours and reinstall the AC unit and antennas.
